Healing Through Nature
Nate and Ida attended the Healing Through Nature kick-off meeting at The San Diego Natural History Museum! Healing Through Nature is a countywide initiative focused on expanding equitable access to the health and well-being benefits of the natural world. We felt lucky to be among a diverse group of organizations and agencies working across conservation, health care, Indigenous communities, social justice, and other sectors throughout San Diego County! We are so excited to be part of this coalition and continue working to ensure everyone has the opportunity to connect with, care for, and protect the natural world.
Fun-Filled Festivities
We had an amazing time at The Native School's San Diego Nature School Festival! Alongside other local environmental organizations, we shared our love for nature through hands-on activities for kids while providing resources about outdoor conservation, education, and recreation to parents. We always love the chance to connect with new communities and spread the word about EDI's mission & vision! We say this a lot but one of our favorite things about working in this field is getting out into nature to collaborate with like-minded organizations and meet new people, expanding our community. Thank you to The Native School & Nurture Their Nature for an incredible event!

We are developing a new five-year strategic plan and we would love your input! There are two weeks left to let us know what you think we are doing well, where we can improve, and where you think we can have the greatest impact in the years ahead. Another School Year Begins
Earlier this month, summer break came to a close as EDI's partner school districts dove into another school year! While we gear up to begin our programming, our Education Dream Team is working hard to make sure our curriculum and resources are as up to date, interactive, educational, and fun they can be! We look forward to another round of classroom nature lessons, outdoor field trip adventures, and more. A huge shoutout to all the teachers, district staff, and families for your continued help and support in making these programs a success!
