Conservation Manager

Nathaniel has lived in San Diego since 2011, starting a landscape design and maintenance company with an emphasis on drought tolerant plants and water conservation. After completing the UC California Naturalist program, he began focusing more intently on California native plants, working on strategies to incorporate them into residential landscapes and promoting their numerous ecological and aesthetic benefits.

Nathaniel holds a Master’s Degree in Architecture from Tulane University. He loves working outdoors, hiking, and exploring Southern California and its diverse ecosystems, and is always investigating what makes a plant or species thrive in a particular environment. Volunteering with the Earth Discovery Institute has been a great joy to Nathaniel, and he is thrilled to be a part of the conservation team.
