EDI works with public land management agencies, conservation partners, and private landowners to restore and enhance native habitats throughout San Diego County.

 

Our restoration projects are designed and implemented by EDI’s conservation team using science-based approaches tailored to each site and its wildlife and habitat needs.

Our work includes invasive species management, native seed collection and propagation, planting and establishment of native vegetation, habitat restoration for sensitive wildlife species, and long-term ecological monitoring to measure restoration success and guide future management.

 

Community engagement is also an important part of our work. Through volunteer events, educational programs, and partnerships, we give people opportunities to participate directly in habitat restoration and learn more about the ecosystems they are helping protect.
