Rebecca (she/her/hers) is a San Diego native and graduate of UC Santa Barbara, where she earned a double major in Environmental Studies and Economics. After graduation, she spent 18 months living in New Zealand, working across the North Island on ecological restoration and native forest revegetation projects, which deepened her appreciation for community-rooted conservation work. Now back home, Rebecca is excited to serve as a Climate Action Fellow with Earth Discovery Institute, where she is eager to continue hands-on restoration work and support projects that strengthen both local ecosystems and her community. In her free time, Rebecca enjoys surfing, ceramics, cycling, foraging, and backpacking, always seeking new ways to spend time outdoors and connect with the natural world.
