Ida is a marine and wildlife biologist with over 19 years of experience dedicated to the preservation of endangered and threatened species and their habitats. Her work spans the nonprofit, government, academic, and consulting sectors across multiple countries, where she has led conservation research expeditions, managed restoration projects, and engaged community scientists in field research and wildlife conservation.
She specializes in implementing a comprehensive, multi-species approach to conservation aimed at protecting biodiversity. A central focus of her work is collaborating with local communities to develop sustainable solutions that align conservation efforts with community needs and socio-economic considerations, supporting equitable participation and long-term stewardship.
Ida holds a B.S. with honors in Marine Biology and Zoology from the University of Queensland and a Master’s degree in Environmental Science from Murdoch University. She also holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the University of Washington.
